YEAH Now that I have like, not goofy pictures of this costume, I feel like it actually was a thing that happened, and I’m really happy with how it turned out, despite being a one-time wear thing.

Added two more Aomine pictures to my deviantArt just because I have an increasingly large backlog of pictures of him, between the one shoot at Katsucon, and thw two we did at MegaCon (haha) So he’s on the backburner for a while, at least in his Teiko jersey.
These two shots are from our night shoot at Katsucon with Steph where everyone was really cold, ahah <3

Doing micaella’s Steampunk Adventure Time concepts was really super fun, and just something I’d wanted to do since I first saw them! While I talked about how much I hated it through the whole construction process, I loved working on something that was different from what I usually work on. The waist-cincher is a dyed, store-bought cincher, with the gold details painted on with gold paint. The top and arm sleeves/cuffs were dyed and altered appropriately. I covered a wide piece of elastic in the brown for her belt, and made the center gem out of Model Magic, and painted it with acrylic paint.The pale underskirt was bought from H&M, with a single petticoat under it to give volume. The large over-skirt was hand/free-patterned and made from 6 yards of pink fabric, soaked in a light brown dye to give it the “rustic” colour. It’s gathered between the two front loops, made from brown bias tape. The back of the skirt has 3 yards of tule gathered to increase the back volume slightly.The leg warmers/spats were hand/free-patterned using a brown cotton. Lauren and I did our own ghetto shoots for Kuroko and Akashi Saturday night! We actually weren’t planning on wearing these at all on Saturday but then the cold scared us away from wearing Magi any longer :’D
